I am trying to make a lever which will have an animation (lever moves) when activated. I have used Changedoodadstate on it but it will not work. I have used Changedoodadstate on buttons before which have worked so is it possible for the lever to change state?

Also I am wondering if there is a way that you have to hit the lever for it to activate - I have tryed connecting a Objecteventtrigger with "hit" set to a lever but that doesn't work either.  :o

Which doodad are you replacing? In the editor what is the .xml you're trying to replace? Also - I can show you how to add it as a new one rather than just replace the old one.
Sorry for late response.
I am trying to change 'eeg_guy' I do believe and I would love help finding out how to add it as a new one - Anything that will let me add my own sprite in the game.
PS. If you look at the picture I linked the girl with her torso in half is the one I changed - It is usually someone wearing some sort of space helmet.

Did you edit the file path for the new doodad image?
I usually keep it in my own doodad subfolder within my campaign map:
Hammerwatch/editor/Imprisoned/doodads/decoration/test.png

Hey I am so sorry for the late reply - Have been busy with other things.
I am still struggling with this question and the answer is 'No' I have not edited the file to the path for the new doodad image.
I actually am completely new new to this whole custom sprite thing and do not understand what to do at the slightest - Any help would be much appreciated  :(

So I recently finished changing a doodad and want to use it in my map.
I tried replacing the old picture file (Speical_egg) with my version of it.
It has not done anything to the doodad.
Please help??

I apologise because I know this is going to get annoying for you.
But when I right click with nothing it does nothing.
And when I right click with nothing selected in scripting it says 'spawned script node' in the actions bar.
and obviously when I right click with something selected it spawns the object.

That unfortunately didn't work because I could get the ObjectEventTrigger to connect up to the Spawnobject.
But I did manage to make RectangleShape = Area Trigger = Spawn Object. Which works just as well seeing how you we need to be next to the crate to break it anyway.

I am working on a map where I set up a trap and you need to find a key in a crate or fire traps will kill you.
Is it possible to hide a key behind a crate or in one?

Hello,
I know this is a little late but if you are still seeking help on your HW map I am open to volunteering.

I do not know how to make custom pixel graphics unfortunately but if you were to teach me I would definitely follow through and continue to make more custom pixels when I have time.
Just like you I also prefer quality over quantity and have always been a sucker my whole life taking the extra time to make something look good.
I know basic scripting in HW editor but as said previously I would be open to learning and then performing if needed.
I have played your map and have noticed some errors and fixes which need to be made which I would enjoy doing.
I am currently 15 (Student) with no part time job and would have plenty of time to work on this map.

Also I have linked the elf sprites which I had no idea what I was hoping to achieve. - I have redone the colours but the main point was mainly to show you that I am serious about looking to help you.
