"Survival in Colosseum" is map of survival mode.
Player survive from 20 waves.
All bosses engaged. I think difficult is Hard.

- Put walls in first boss room
- Prolong spawn time of enemies that in first boss room
- Extra lives 1 -> 3
- Put power shop

Me and Hipshot played through it, and it was really fun! Good job, very well made. I think the last two bosses were maybe a bit too hard though :D

difficulty
- prolong the enemies spawn time in 1st, 2nd, and 4th bosses
- change num of teleport points in 3rd boss room 16 -> 2
- change spawn enemy in 1st boss maggot -> tick_elite
- change num of extra lives 3 -> 4
- change num of lich in stage13 24 -> 6
etc
- remove a debug log when player open's a silver door
- extend event trigger area of the button

the map doesn't show up in my game... i put it in the levels folder like the other custom maps, which work...
i don't know, it also is like that with my own custom maps.

I download the hwm file and put in the levels anew.
But, this is worked.

i already had another custom map inside the levels folder, which was called "survival". i took it out of the folder and not you survival_collosseum can be played.
so it seems the games are not allowed to have same names? but on the other hand, the name wasn't exactly the same?
well, i can play it now!

Hey! i've tried this map. Really liked it. The first boss was great because real timing with the attacks and the movement was needed with a wizard :D
At the second floor, though, when elite archers first spawned, there were 1- an insane amount of arrows and 2- my PC was slowing down, too many of everything!!!
Great job though :D it looks interesting

I really enjoyed this map, but I feel like I wasn't able to make much fun out of it unless I was soloing, because most people I've played with in the community aren't good at HammerWatch or just haven't played much. Being experienced with the ranger class I felt this map was a cinch for me, but overall I feel like it was a great map, but requires a little more improving for a little more difficulty.

Really cool map, I definitely rate it a 5/5. My friends and I had a blast trying to beat the dragon and once we also failed when it had about 100hp left. Really cool map, the real last boss is extremely difficult but even more fun because of it. Awesome work!
EDIT: I think the Warlock / Electrical Storm move may be a little overpowered in this mode. Here's why:

Just played this with my bro, this is a really great game design! I liked it a lot, simple and yet so very enjoyable. This is a real winner for the player community, keep up the good work!

Hello! I just recently started doing a "First Looks" type series for hammerwatch custom maps, and featured yours as my first video. One thing that I noticed while playing was that the first boss seems just a bit too easy, due to the room layout. I plan on testing it with other classes as well, but with the Ranger it was very simple. I had a few ideas to make this fight more difficult and interesting, but I'm not sure how plausible they would be. My first thought was, would it be able to warp to another room for this fight? I feel like the pillar in the middle of the room makes the boss's nova way too easy to dodge. I love the switch system they used in the campaign. I think it would make this fight a lot more interesting. The other thing I noticed was the range of the boss's nova. I was able to just hang close to the edge of it with the ranger and simply walk out of it right away. I'm not sure how it would work with the other classes, but maybe the boss's nova should have a bit more range. Other than those small things about the boss, what I played of this is really well done and fun so far. I plan on doing a full playthrough of this after I finish recording for the day, so I may have some more suggestions. I'd love to get more involved with the custom maps and community, so if you need any help with testing or suggestions, I'd be glad to help. Thanks for the map!
Edit: After playing the game further I don't really have much else to add. All of the levels and bosses seem pretty balanced to me. My only problem was the dragon fight. As a solo ranger the fight get's overwhelmingly difficult towards the end, when all of the spawns activate. I find myself unable to clear fast enough for spawns, and then projectiles get to an unbearable point. The worst offender of this is the mages (not sure of their name) at the end. I found myself having a hard time moving out of the way of their projectiles after respawning. Maybe consider lowering the spawn rate of them, or consider only allowing one to be active from each spawn. I managed to blow through around 20 lives on this part alone. :\

Played this last night with a full party. We got to the last boss and died. The Dragon had 1/4 life left!! Very well made map and I'd love to be able to get under the hood to see how it was made. I'm actually very curious about it. Well done!!!! 5/5 map!

First, I'd like to congratulate, and thank you, for a very well done, and very fun map. I had quite some fun playing it on the pre-1.3 versions of hammerwatch.
I tried it again several times on 1.3, and unfortunately a bug occured every time in the version that's installed with the game update on steam :
After the 12th wave is cleaned, the wall separating the battle zone from the shops doesn't disappear anymore, and the button triggering the waves isn't reset. I don't know how the map is coded, but it feels like the event "all monsters gone" doesn't trigger anything in the 12th wave.

I confirmed this is a problem as well, too bad it was a fun map :/

Trying to search through possible solutions but does anyone know why this map broke after the latest patch. I just notice that some multiple songs might play more than once too or something. There's way too much scripts everywhere on this map that I can't search through and find the source of the problem (which is why I prefer breaking things up into smaller maps).

I fixed the bug of wave 12th, and uploaded new version to steam workshop.
I am using a "bat" as a event switch on background system after 12th wave. (outside of battle field)
e.g. When a "bat" killed by DangerArea, then start next wave.
But, the DangerArea couldn't kill the bat on HammerWatch 1.3 !!!!!!!!!
I used a maggot as substitute for the bat, and this is worked.

Oh right I remember bats don't die b stalactite since they fly hehe. All the little land guys should. Nice, I'd be looking forward to playing this again.

Thank you for creating this awesome map! I played the previous version with my wife and we managed to get to level 12. Thats where the "bat bug" hit us. The problem is, I'm running HammeWatch on Linux and somehow my Steam client is unable to download your file from steam workshop. It would be great, if you could post also your .hwm file here, so we could continue our quest :D

We tried the new version of the map and managed to kill the dragon! But due to a bug, I guess. We played two wizzards, and on entry to the level with the queen our stats were upgraded to maximal level. We toasted the Queen in 10 sec :D Actually the only real challange was the dragon at the end.
Nevertheless, thanks again for the awesome map! w

I just finished the whole thing + bonus level (on medium, I should play hard mode next time) with friend Paladin me Warlock. Really great, and a lot of "oh shit" moments with the bonus round. Keep up the good work, you should make another one of these maps with the DLC bosses.

Played this game with a 2 other friends last night and after the 3rd or 4th wave.. The campaign bugged out and our characters had all the upgrades paid for.. So we became too godly. Not sure what happened.. the screen just bugged out and when it came back to normal we were extremely overpowered.
